The Dental Hygiene Board Admission Standard Waiver Extension - Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wet Laboratory Waiver has been updated to the following:
Prerequisite biomedical science courses can either be completed by traditional, in-person wet labs at the school or online using a lab kit in conjunction with faculty oversight and teaching without the waiver. This update applies to the subjects of anatomy, physiology, chemistry, biochemistry, and microbiology.

At the time you plan to apply for the Dental Hygiene Program, your science courses and lab work will need to have been completed within the most recent 5 years.

Any science courses you intend to count towards your prerequisite requirement that are outside of the 5 year recency will unfortunately not qualify.

Courses at Ventura College and Moorpark College are articulated within the VCCCD District to count towards courses offered at Oxnard College.

Yes, you can either mail in your application or drop off the application directly to the campus. Students can come to the campus, check in at the Health Screening locations, and then proceed to the Dental Building. The Dental Building is open from 8am - 4pm Mondays through Thursdays, and from 8am - 12noon on Fridays. Students can come directly to our office to drop off their application.

Students can also drop off their application at the main Administration Building in our Dental Hygiene mailbox -- for assistance, inquire with the Front Desk Staff.
