CSUN Engineering & Computer Science Tour

Five professors and the Associate Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science are hosting a tour of their college and CSUN's campus. The professors represent Civil Engineering & Construction Management, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering & Management, and Mechanical Engineering. 

The tour is scheduled for Friday, November 1, 2024 from 3:30pm-7:15pm. It will include an introduction by the Associate Dean and the participating professors, followed by a tour of various laboratories and the CSUN campus. RSVP by October 21: bit.ly/cecscampustour2024. Students will need to arrange their own transportation.

Nautilus Science and Engineering Internship Program (SEIP)

The Nautilus Science and Engineering Internship Program (SEIP) aims to train and provide real-world experience for community college, undergraduate, and graduate students studying ocean sciences, technology, engineering, and video in the at-sea environment. Intern positions entail 3-5 week periods working aboard E/V Nautilus as Data Loggers, Seafloor Mappers, Navigators, ROV Pilots, or Video Engineers. All interns spend their time on Nautilus working with a wide array of scientists, engineers, students, and educators.

OET offers five types of paid internships through SEIP: Ocean Science, Seafloor Mapping & Hydrography, Video Systems Engineering, Navigation, and ROV Engineering.

All interns gain experience in communications and leadership, including participation in educational outreach activities like broadcasts on NautilusLive.org and live ship-to-shore connections with classroomsAll internships include a paid stipend for participation along with travel to/from the expedition funded and arranged by OET.

Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP)

Soroptimist International of Oxnard

The Live Your Dream Awards offers three levels of cash awards. Eligible applicants can submit their application through the online application system between August 15 - November 15. Ultimately, a Live Your Dream Awards finalist has the potential to receive up to $16,000 to help offset tuition costs, purchase books, get transportation, or find reliable childcare so she can worry less about how to pay her bills and focus on reaching her dreams.
