Download and Utilize the MyVCCCD Mobile App
To enhance our ability to track and manage potential cases, please download and use the MyVCCCD mobile app. This app allows you to easily report any symptoms you might experience and positive COVID-19 test results.
I'm Symptomatic—What Do I Do?
If you exhibit symptoms associated with COVID-19 or receive a positive test result, please stay home, contact your supervisor and/or professor, and report your situation through the MyVCCCD mobile app. Our student health center will be available during business hours to guide you on your return to campus plan.
Symptomatic with a Positive Test
If you test positive, contact your supervisor and/or professor and report the positive case on the MyVCCCD mobile app. Isolate for at least 24 hours. You can return to campus and normal activity if your symptoms are mild and improving, and you have not had a fever for 24 hours without fever-reducing medications. Wear a well-fitted mask indoors around others for a total of 10 days from symptom onset or positive test (if asymptomatic). You may stop masking if you receive two sequential negative tests two days in a row at least 24 hours apart.
*For Employees: If your symptoms require you to be out of work for more than 5 consecutive working days, contact Human Resources as you will need to complete leave of absence paperwork and provide a release from your doctor to return to work.
Symptomatic with a Negative Test
To prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, wear a mask for five days after symptom onset and stay home at least 24 hours until you have not had a fever for 24 hours without fever reducing medications and other symptoms are mild and improving. If your symptoms continue, consider another antigen test after 48 hours or take a PCR test as soon as you can.
*For Employees: If your symptoms require you to be out of work for more than 5 consecutive working days, contact Human Resources as you will need to complete leave of absence paperwork and provide a release from your doctor to return to work.

Wear a Mask
While the decision to wear masks for one's own personal protection is now an individual choice, we urge everyone to be considerate and respectful of each other's preferences. With that said, however, those who have COVID must wear a mask indoors for 10 days from the start of symptoms or from the date of their first positive COVID test (if asymptomatic). You may stop masking earlier if you have two sequential negative tests at least 24 hours apart.
Get Vaccinated and Boosted
It is highly recommended that you stay up to date on your COVID vaccinations. Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and those around you.
