The Oxnard College Marine Education Center and Aquarium will be relocating to the main Oxnard College campus fall 2024! Stay tuned for updates.
Classes offered at the Marine Center include: Oceanography, Marine Biology, Geography, Environmental Studies, Aquaculture, Independent Studies, Art History, and Math.
The Mission of the Channel Islands Marine Education Center and Aquarium is to serve the needs of Ventura County through innovative marine science education programs that:
1. Provide elementary and secondary teachers and students with an understanding of and appreciation for the marine life of Southern California
2. Provide exemplary, innovative and accessible marine science educational programs to college and university students
3. Encourage active public participation in informed decision-making concerning the marine environment of southern California
4. Improve and enhance public awareness of the importance and value of the marine environments of Southern California
