Culinary Arts
The Culinary Arts program prepares students for entry-level positions as a culinarian, bakers, or foodservice manager trainee. In these positions, employees are required to prepare menus, requisition supplies, supervise equipment, maintain varied records, and coordinate data with accountants and others in the organization.
Restaurant Management
The Restaurant Management Program prepares students to obtain employment in the restaurant management field as food service unit managers, multi-unit managers, corporate executives, or corporate trainers.
Oxnard College offers a Certificate of Achievement and Associate in Science Degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management. In addition, students may wish to work toward certification from the American Culinary Federation Educational Institute (ACFEI) by taking additional course work. Refer to the college catalog for this information.
Important note: clicking on this link will download the entire Oxnard College Catalog (which might take a few moments). You will be taken to the catalog pages for this area of study. If you want to print just these pages you must go to File, Print and then select the page numbers of the range of pages you want to print in order to insure that you do not print the entire catalog.
